Hi there!
I am Sarah, a Registered Psychologist and Founder of Sakinah Psychology.
I understand that beginning therapy can feel overwhelming. As a Psychologist, my priority is to create a space where you feel safe, supported, and at ease in taking that first step. My approach is compassionate and genuine, and I believe that working together in a collaborative way is key to meaningful progress.
I am experienced in working with children, adolescents and adults, utilising evidenced-based therapies through a holistic and trauma-informed lens in my practice.
I have experience working with a range of mental health concerns, including:
- complex trauma and PTSD
- anxiety & phobias
- obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD)
- grief & loss
- sleep disorders
- general mental health concerns
My treatment modalities include:
- Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT)
- Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)
- Schema Therapy
Who is Sarah outside of being a psychologist?
Outside of the therapy space you'll often find me outside in nature, usually gardening with my husband or buying a new plant. As an introvert at heart, I also love just getting cosy at home with my cats and baking something sweet.
